Philip and Andy Brainin have been involved in real estate investment and development since 2007. Together they launched South Hill Capital in 2013 to leverage their complementary skills and capitalise on the opportunities that have arisen since the global financial crisis and subsequent economic recovery.

Philip is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has worked in the property industry since 2005. He began his real estate career with Laing O’Rourke as a construction planner on Heathrow Terminal 5, after which he moved to a bank advisory role at DTZ and Jones Lang LaSalle, advising key lending institutions on their distressed property loan books. Whilst at Jones Lang LaSalle, Philip specialised in asset management and real estate workout across all asset types in the UK and Europe.

Philip is also a Registered Fixed Charge Receiver.

Andy Brainin

Director

Andy is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and an accredited Lean practitioner. Before founding South Hill Capital, he spent six years at KPMG within the Management Consulting division. In this time he specialised in Finance Function Re-organisation, Transformation Programme Management and Risk Management for banking and insurance clients. He has extensive experience of process re-engineering and finance integration within several global financial institutions.
