Specalist Dublin real estate investor and developer, South Hill Capital, has successfully completed the extensive refurbishment of a Georgian townhouse on Fitzwilliam Place.
Located by the well-known Fitzwilliam and Merrion Squares, Fitzwilliam Place has become a hotspot for premium office space in Dublin 2.
The building is predominantly used for office space, with residential accommodation on the top floor. South Hill Capital, which has a wealth of experience in the refurbishment of Georgian buildings in Dublin, has restored the original period features, including cornicing, fireplaces, brickwork and the original Georgian wood flooring. Along with bringing back the historic charm of the building, the works included modernising the lighting, heating and mechanical infrastructure, as well as adding Cat 6 data cabling throughout.
South Hill Capital Director, Philip Brainin says: “With so many modern, new-build office blocks being delivered in Dublin, there is a growing trend for some businesses to seek out the traditional architecture of the city. Lots of business owners want the character and personality that Georgian buildings offer, but with the facilities desired by modern business tenants. We have carried out works to a number of similar properties in Dublin 2, including Merrion Square, and are familiar with the requirements of these period buildings.”
